Hi I have a 6.4l Powerstroke Diesel F450 2008 model, should also tell you I am a woman and my hair colour is blonde??? Ok now I live in a emmission law free Falkland Islands. I would really like to take the DPF and EGR OFF my truck as I am having so many problems with it. Right now the coolant level is dropping all the time and there is white smoke alot of white smoke. Can you tell me what I need to buy to get rid of both please.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Elaine

Answer:

What you need to do is buy an H&S Programmer like the XRT Pro or the Mini Maxx. Both are good options, just depends on what features you want. I would recommend getting the Mini Maxx so you have a monitor and you can watch all of the temps to make sure nothing is wrong or getting too hot. It is a very easy to use programmer. That is the same one I run in my 2008 6.4 Ford. I would recommend doing that along with the DPF/CAT Delete pipe and also sounds like you need to do the EGR/Cooler delete as well. That whole package will run $975 for the XRT Pro, DPF/CAT Delete Pipe, and the EGR/Cooler delete. If you want to do that same package with the Mini Maxx Tuner, it would run $1230. That will take care of all of the issues you are having. Let me know if you have any questions at all.

Thanks

Answer:

The Mini Maxx or the Black Maxx would probably be the best option for him. Those are safe for towing because they have built in safety features and will defuel. It will also allow him to adjust the tuning on the fly. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Question:

I have your sct tuner and DPF Delete exhaust. what do I need for the EGR delete that will work with what I have and what adaptor plate do I need

PS also how much

Answer:

We have several options that you can choose from, are you looking to remove all of the EGR system or are you looking for blocker plates? The main thing to keep in mind is that we would not recommend you run anything bigger than a 180 – 200hp tune on blocker plates. If you are planning to add power to the truck, you will need to install our complete kit with a waste gate and after market down pipe. The complete kit will allow you to adjust the back pressure so you won’t blow your head gaskets or hurt the turbos. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Blocker Plate Kit is $299.00

Full Kit $1299.00 + any options you choose like down pipe & Inter cooler pipe.

Answer:

I would recommend the H&S Mini Maxx for what you are doing. It has on the fly shifting so you can switch between a towing and mileage tune at the touch of a button. The H&S will have higher HP tunes, and as long as you drive the truck normally, those tunes will give you the best fuel mileage. The more power you add to the truck, the better fuel mileage you will get out of it.

I was just wondering before I install the 5 inches exhaust kit if it will fit a crew cab or not? Or if all are the same just cut to fit!

Answer:

Pretty much all full exhaust systems now are made to fit a crew cab long bed. If you do not have a crew cab long bed, you just will not use some of the pipe. The instructions will specify that.

2. You show Flo-Pro 4′ SS exhaust at $329.99 does this include muffler?

Answer:

Yes the SCT has the ability to delete the DPF/CAT and EGR system if you wanted to. You will see a huge increase in power, and more importantly mileage. The more power you add and the easier you drive the truck, the better MPG you are going to get. I can either have the exhaust come with or without a muffler for you.

Question:

Oh man good and bad news. Bad news is i blew both head gaskets, good news is that now i can build it bigger and stronger! Only problem is i am not sure what to get, of course elite head studs but as for the head gaskets should i use Fords or an aftermarket company? I want to get a bunch of stuff done since the cab will be off but after all the research i have done i need some real expert information. I really want Elite’s Tow-Power compounds since i seem to have plenty of fuel but what else? As of now i have a spartan tuner running up to the 350 tune, full DPF delete and intake.

Answer:

What we would recommend doing would be Elite Studs, factory ford gaskets, EGR Delete with wastegate and CFM, 4″ Downpipe, and possibly tow power compounds if you have the funds for it. That would make for a bullet proof truck that you can beat on. Only other thing you will need to do would be the trans. You could go crazy if you wanted to and upgrade the fuel system to get more out of it, but it just depends on how much you have to spend. Once you do tow powers, the truck will not smoke WOT anymore.

Question:

I’m looking into buying a DPF delete tuner and exhaust for my truck, and right now I’m a little undecided on which tuner I should buy. I’m thinking of the Black Maxx or the Spartan. I use my truck as a daily driver, I like to go fast and I sometimes tow a camper. What do you think? As far as exhaust goes, Iâm interested in the AFE dpf/doc delete system with the muffler. How does the system sound with the muffler? Or without the muffler? What do you recommend for exhaust?

And finally your Disclaimer. Do I fax it to you, and then make my order or do I make my order first? And it also asks for a serial number. Whatâs that for?

Answer:

Between the black maxx and the Spartan you really cannot go wrong, they are both great options. In my opinion, if you would like to have the option of shift on the fly, I would go H&S Blackmaxx. If that does not really matter to you, I would go Spartan. Like I said, they are both great options and are very similar, just depends on the specific features that you wanted.

I would recommend doing 4″ or 5″ exhaust with a muffler. Doing it with a muffler will sound the best in my opinion. That is what I run on my truck and what most people prefer.

The serial number part you will leave blank, I will fill that in. You can either send the waiver in before or after you do the order, its not too big of a deal.
